Why us?
Engage & Learn is different for many key reasons. The first is that we understand that growing academically does not happen simply through homework support. Learning is a complex and unique process. Our focus is to meet the students where they are at and help create foundational understanding in their academic subjects.
Not only do we focus on more than homework support, but we are intentional with matching tutors not just based on subject specialty, but with how we feel the tutor and the student will connect. Educational mentors are key—that’s why when it comes to students, we value building relationships in order to establish trust. This way students will feel less pressured to perform and more encouraged to learn. We want to give each student the time and guidance they deserve.

We’re Paige & Jordan!
We are the founders and operators of Engage & Learn and we have a passion for seeing students be empowered for success. We are both Ontario Certified Teachers with master’s degrees who recognize the need for individual support outside the classroom. We believe that establishing a connection and a trusting relationship with our students is key to their success.
Questions and answers for parents, students and tutors
How long is a typical session?
The sessions can happen as many hours a week as needed and the sessions can be 1, 1.5 or 2 hours long. We ensure all students receive one hour weekly at minimum as it keeps consistency and allows for ample time for concept review and reinforcement.
How do I get started?

How do I pay?
Invoices are sent at the beginning of each month for the month in advance. This can be paid by e-transfer to info@engageandlearn.ca or by credit card through the invoice.
What are the prices for tutoring?
We offer private, one-on-one sessions either in-person or online. For our online one-on-one sessions, the rate is $43 per session hour. Our in-person rate is $48 per session hour. The prices are all inclusive of taxes & fees.
What is the free trial?
The trial session is 30 minutes long online utilizing our virtual classroom and allows for the student and tutor to meet and get to know each other, as well as create some academic goals for their time together. This is completely complimentary.
What are the tutor’s qualifications?
All of our tutors have at minimum a bachelor's degree and a year of tutoring and/or teaching experience. Many are certified teachers, in teachers college or are pursuing that path!
